New: Webinar Series. Watch recorded sessions from our Webinar Series for WorkForce Center Staff through Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). Sessions contain information on using ISEEK to complete Individual Service Strategy (ISS) Plans, career and training information for special populations, as well as a presentation with case studies showing how ISEEK supports WorkForce Center customers.

New: Regional job search widget. All of our regional sites now have a custom widget that makes it easy to find current job openings. Just enter a keyword and your ZIP code in the search jobs box on any of ISEEK's regional job search pages. Ex: Southwest Minnesota Job Search.

    You can now find the regional outlook for the career of your choice (e.g. Accountants and Auditors). Simply search for a career, select Wages & Outlook from the left menu, and scroll to the bottom of the page.

    ISEEK's regional sites have been updated.

    • You can now search for short-term training from the education plan section of any regional site.
    • Regional sites now have My Account, ISEEK's interactive tool that allows you to bookmark pages and searches to create your own custom profile.

    • Find Short-term training (programs or courses that last one year or less) on ISEEK. You can now use ISEEK's education search tool to find short-term training in Minnesota.
    • ISEEK's My Account (previously My Workbook) is back. You can now save your favorite pages, career and education search results, and assessment results.

      ISEEK's My Account allows career counselors and advisors to help customers create education and graduate plans, discuss an individual's skill assessment results, and focus customers on content that is specific to their needs. Counselors can also save common searches such as training, employers, or types of occupations. Students and job seekers can use My Account to track their unique career research, college and job training, and other key information on ISEEK.
    • New: Careers in Southeast Minnesota. Looking for a good paying, stable career in Southeast Minnesota? Careers in Southeast Minnesota has information on the hottest jobs in the region, where to find training, and links to local employers.

    • Print functionality restored: Using the print link on an ISEEK page gives you a text version of the content. You can now also print a graphical representation of ISEEK's pages, including the background and logo, using the print command in your browser window. Learn more.
    • New: Energy Job Websites has links to energy-specific / green job banks.
    • New: ISEEK Outreach and Training Materials contains ISEEK's downloadable training materials, brochures, handouts, and flyers.
    • New: Career Planning for College Students offers helpful tips for jump-starting your career while still in school.

    • New: Green Jobs Training
      Find links to programs, workshops, and other training resources that give you the knowledge and skills you need for a job in the green sector.
    • New: Energy Training Providers
      Links to green and energy training providers. Look here for upcoming training schedules.
    • Three new student testimonials from graduates in the fields of Biofuels Technology and Wind Energy have been added to the energy education section. Learn how completing these programs prepared these graduates for their current careers.

    • New Tools & Technology data. You can now find the most common tools and technology used on the job. This data has been added to our career profiles. See an example for Physical Therapists in Quick Facts and within the new Tools and Technology section of the career profile.

    • Learn more about renewable energy generation. Two new energy careers industry pages, Biofuels Industry and Wind Power have just been added.
    • Our Training Resource Center has just added a section customized for businesses. Find training, hiring, and business management resources.

    Knowledge Needed for Technician Careers in Energy Industries has just been added to Energy Careers. You'll discover how the specific energy industry you choose, as well as the occupation within the industry, helps determine what you'll need to know.

    South Central Industries, Central Industries, and Southwest Industries now have links to regional occupation in-demand and employers in each industry.

    • Updated K-12 Search Tool. The redesigned K-12 online course search allows for more specific searching options, including new enrollment and credit types.
    • Find Training Programs by Occupation. Our career profiles now include links to related training programs. Check out the Education and Training section of any one of our career profiles and you'll be able to match your career choice with current, available, training programs. See an example for Accountants and Auditors.

    The Training Resource Center (TRC) has been updated. Counselors now have the ability to log-in to their own user accounts and request training, manage their training requests, email each other, and update their contact information.

    • Training Alerts. Two new Training Alert documents, Weatherization (218KB, .pdf), and Information Technology (233KB, .pdf), are available on our Training Resource Center (TRC) Help page. Training Alerts focus on immediate training to support counselors' need for short-term, work-related training that lead to a credential recognized by Minnesota's employers.

    • Find Quick Facts.
      Select any one of the over 500 careers on ISEEK. Quick Facts offers an easy overview that includes: wages, outlook, education and training requirements, skills, and job title examples. Job Title Examples also link you into the Jobs section for additional titles.
    • Want to compare salary information across Minnesota's regions?
      Just select the career you are interested in. Click on Wages & Outlook in the left navigation bar. You will find the option to view the Regional Wage Comparison Chart for that occupation.
