ISEEK Authoring Guidelines
We are always interested in contributions from our readers. We especially like to post local articles about advancing a career, planning education, and finding employment.
Share your article on ISEEK
On our site, visitors tend to be drawn to trends and tips for finding work, as well as business and education training opportunities. Career explorers are particularly interested in reading about what a typical day is like in certain occupations.
If you've written a recent or relevant article about workforce development, skills training or other news, we' ll gladly review it for publication. If you'd like to contribute content about a specific program or event, please contact ISEEK Customer Service.
Guidelines
Those submitting articles are encouraged to follow these authoring guidelines:
- Target job seekers, career explorers, or students as the audience of your story.
- Keep counselors, parents, and students in mind as another important audience group.
- Make the information relevant to residents of Minnesota.
- Try to make the information relevant to the current political and economic climate.
- Introduce the core of your article in the first paragraph because we often use the first few sentences to promote the article.
- Keep an active voice (e.g. "the students learn" rather than "the students are being taught") whenever possible.
- We prefer stories between 400 and 1400 words.
- Feel free to include images that you think might enhance your message. Kindly keep your images to 200x150 pixels.
- Also, feel free to include links to additional resources, such as addresses of related websites.
Submit your article and images to ISEEK Customer Service. We look forward to reading it. Thanks for sharing your information with ISEEK!
