CareerOneStop Skills Profiler

You don't have to be an expert to possess important skills. In fact, everyone has a wide variety of skills. A skill is something you can do. It does not matter where you learned a skill; if you have it, it's yours to use.

This skills assessment activity selects potential occupations for you based on how you rate each skill - positive, neutral or negative. Rate a skill positively if it is important that you use that skill in your career. Rank a skill negatively if it isn't important that you use that skill as part of your career. Identifying your skills is a very important, but time-consuming process. There are many skills listed in this activity. Be prepared to spend some time on this activity to achieve the best results.

Remember that skills, and skill assessments, are just one piece of the larger career exploration "puzzle." Career explorers should use other essential information such as interests, values, wages and employment information. ISEEK offers much of this information so explore it for what you need.
