Connect to Minnesota resources

Minnesota offers a variety of online learning and teaching resources. Some of these include courses, programs, and teaching tools provided by Education Minnesota as well as the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and the University of Minnesota.

Minnesota K-12

Minnesota Department of Education
Visit the K-12 education website for the state of Minnesota to find a list of certified online learning providers, online rights and responsibilities, online learning advisory council, and more.

MN Learning Loop
A database of online resources and links to the Minnesota Academic Standards. It features Student Learning Tools (puzzles, learning games, and applets), Teacher Portals (curriculum resources), and Online Communities (where teachers can network with each other).

Online learning
Explore what's happening as Minnesota schools use the internet to expand instructional options for students. Some are open to students within that school district and others register students state- and even nationwide. Learn about the growing body of research, program evaluation procedures, theories and policy guidelines surrounding e-learning and how it will affect the quality, efficiency, equity, and educational choices available to all Minnesota's students.

Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL)
Online Teaching from CTL offers multiple resources dedicated to the topics of online teaching and learning. Develop or refresh your skills in teaching in a Web-based environment. Read what has been researched, reported, and imagined concerning online teaching and learning.

University of Minnesota

Educational Technology Resource Guide
This resource guide to “Online & Distance Ed.” contains links to on-campus and other internet resources, examples of successful uses of learning technology, policies, and tools for developing instructional media.

Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL)
The TEL Seminar Series feature presentations by University of Minnesota faculty members about various instructional technology topics including online learning. There is no charge for these events and they are open to the public.

American Distance Education Consortium (ADEC)
A non-profit distance education consortium composed of approximately 65 state universities and colleges. ADEC promotes the creation and provision of high quality, economical distance education programs and services to diverse audiences.

David B. Glick & Associates, LLC
Hosts K-12 online learning tools, techniques, and program development for students, teachers and administrators.

EdITLib Digital Library
The EdITLib Digital Library for Information Technology and Education is your source for peer-reviewed and published articles and papers on the latest research, developments, and applications related to all aspects of Educational Technology and E-Learning.

Late Nite Labs
These web-based lab simulations allow students to carry out virtual hands-on chemistry experiments, either as pre-lab exercises or as a major part of distance-education courses. The simulator, using animations and 3D graphics, is designed specifically for the virtual high school and college institutions.

Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT)
MERLOT is a free and open resource designed primarily for faculty and students of higher education. Links to online learning materials are collected here along with annotations such as peer reviews and assignments.
